Land Viewer: Download Latest Satellite Imagery and Analysis Spectral Indices on any Browser

Recently, a team of Data Scientist, Software Developers and Geo-Scientist from California-established company Earth Observing System (EOS) had launched innovative cloud based tools for exiting Remote Sensing and GIS users, students, researchers and more user-friendly for the people new to GIS and Remote Sensing.   

Land Viewer tool is the real–time image processing and analytics like:

• Access to Latest Imagery from Sentinel-2 to Oldest Imagery of Landsat MSS and TM.
• Easy to find the required geospatial imagery of any scale by selecting the Area of Interest on the map.
• Using land viewer on-the-fly imagery analytics abilities and download required image for various analysis.

Using the Earth Observing System algorithms, users can compare two satellite imagery for finding the difference and selecting needed imagery for the analysis. For Example, Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 imagery using option called “Comparison Slider” which is real-time level faster. The tools are free of cost, simple, faster which can be accessed from any form of Browser or System. 

Land Viewer provides various filters for downloading the satellite like range of time-span, level of cloud cover in satellite scene, Sun Elevation, analyse, share. The satellite imagery can be downloaded with required set-bands for user and satellite imagery can be downloaded or saved in cloud for future needs or analysis.

Land Viewer on board tilling system can render satellite scene in any zoom level, EOS have offered various band combination for analysis. Using “band combination” option various spectral-indices can be calculated like NDVI, NDWI, Vegetation Analysis, health of vegetation for user’s purpose. The Analysed data-set can be downloaded in various file-format JPEG, KMZ, GeoTIFF and resolution. EOS have designed website to visualize the analysed indices in real time with zero % waste of time and requires a minimum specification system.

The user can also create custom spectral band combinations for any type of analysis and visualise on the Brower. Default band available for analysis like vegetation health, ice cover, waterbodies and ocean analysis. Object identification is really useful for identifying object in satellite scene for monitoring and management of various resources like flood, fire and Watershed Management.  Land Viewer provides one of the best images with lesser cloud cover, clean scenes.
